Course Selection

Student Course Selection and Academic Planning

Each spring, the LTHS Counselors conduct comprehensive 4-year planning meetings with each student. During those meetings, students investigated possible career paths, discussed course plans to meet the students’ various goals, reviewed Equal Opportunity School insight cards (Sample Insight Card), and discussed the Accelerated Placement Act (Click here to learn more about the Accelerated Placement Act). Students entered their course requests into SchooLinks and were able to enter potential courses for the years to follow.

At this time, we are asking parents to review the courses selected with their students. Instructions on how to access your student's course plans are listed below. You can view the course plans through your portal if you already have a parent account linked to your student. After reviewing the course selections, you may fill out the Course Selection Confirmation/Counselor Contact Form to verify the courses or request a call from your student’s counselor to discuss.

This is an ideal opportunity to talk with your student about his or her career goals and help your student outline a plan to make those dreams a reality.

The deadline to confirm your student’s course selection is April 1, 2024.
