Hybrid In-person Learning
  • In-person, Hybrid Learning

Beginning Thursday, 1/21, LTHS resumes In-person, Hybrid Learning. The LTHS Group (A-La) will be on campus Thursday, and the Porter Group (Lb-Z) will be on campus Friday. Central Campus dismissal will be at 12:50 p.m., and East Campus dismissal will be at 12:53 p.m. For more information, see Calendar and Schedules.

Buses will run for a 7:50 a.m. start time as before during hybrid days.

Students are required to wear a mask on the bus and while in school. Cloth masks or disposable surgical masks are acceptable. Bandanas, neck gaiters, and masks with valves or vents are not allowed, based on CDC recommendations and other studies.

Students should expect to have their temperatures checked as they enter the building. Any students found to have a temperature of 100.4 degrees will promptly be placed in a separate supervised area away from others until they can be sent home. They will be handled with confidentiality and respect.

During this time, parents/guardians are urged to monitor their student’s health and keep them home if they have any symptoms of fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, fatigue, muscle or body aches, headache, new loss of taste or smell, sore throat, congestion or runny nose, nausea or vomiting. When reporting an absence to the Attendance Office, please include information about your student’s symptoms. This will greatly help us monitor the health of our student population. To report that a child has COVID-like symptoms, has been exposed to the virus, or has tested positive, contact the Nurses Office.

Due to the pandemic, through a federal meal reimbursement program, any student who wants a meal will be able to take a grab and go meal at no charge. No income verification is required. For more information about this program and lunchroom procedures, see Student Lunches under the Return to School tab.

On In-person, Hybrid Learning days, attendance for students who are at school (Monday and Thursday for the LTHS group, Tuesday and Friday for the Porters group) will have their attendance taken each period by teachers. Students who are learning at home on those days will need to log into their Infinite Campus Student Portal between 8:00 - 10:00 a.m. to check in for attendance. Instructions are available on the Attendance Office webpage, under Departments.

If a student will not be in attendance for the In-person Learning day or is ill and unable to work on the Remote Learning day, the student should not check in, and a parent should contact the Attendance Office to report the absence by 3:00 p.m. that day.

Students enrolled in APEX will continue their regular curriculum.
