Student Lunches
  • Student Lunches

    During Full Attendance beginning 4/12

Due to the pandemic, through a federal meal reimbursement program, any who wants a meal will be able to take a grab-and-go meal at no charge for the school year. No income verification or ID scan is required. For more information, see the USDA Free Meal Extension Fact Sheet.

Multiple lunch areas with assigned seating have been established throughout both campuses. Students are spaced 6 feet apart. There are designated areas for individuals with food allergies. All lunch areas are sanitized between each lunch period. Students will remove their masks to eat at intervals during lunch periods.

Pickup stations are located throughout the buildings to enable students to safely and conveniently pick up grab-and-go lunches.

Students may choose to bring their own lunch if they have dietary restrictions or other food preferences.

  • Why isn't LTHS eligible for P-EBT?

The main determining factor for a school to be eligible for School Year 2020-2021 P-EBT is participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) as of February 2020, prior to the pandemic. LTHS was not participating in the NSLP as of February 2020. While the high school does not participate in that program, LTHS still provides free meals through the State program and is enrolled in the Summer Food Service Program to help our families through this pandemic. Unfortunately, LTHS cannot retroactively enroll in the NSLP.

Here is a list of eligible schools. The USDA created the new temporary program to provide benefits to free and reduced students who were not in person to receive the normal NSLP meals they were entitled to. This emergency COVID-19 benefit is from the USDA and was tied to NSLP program participation.
