• The process of enrolling and registering approximately a thousand freshmen each year requires the input of many people and takes almost a full year. We all have a part to play in ensuring that our newest Porters are off to a great start on their high school career.

FREE bus transportation will be provided to and from the test at Central Campus, however, you must sign up on the following link: http://bit.ly/PSATBus. For a listing of bus routes, click here. If students do not take the bus, they must arrive by 7:50 a.m., pick up and drop off at Door 1 (main entrance). The test will end at approximately 11:45 a.m. for most students. Students with accommodations will likely end by 1:00 p.m.

    All Students should bring:

    • A school I.D. (if your school issues these-no need to create an ID if you do not have one)

    • Two #2 pencils

    • A scientific calculator

If your student cannot attend on October 22, they will be automatically assigned to the make-up session. The make-up Placement Exam will be administered on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 8:00-11:30 a.m. at Central Campus, 1222 S. Jefferson Street. Students should arrive by 7:50 a.m. and enter at Door #1. Please note that NO bus transportation will be provided for the make-up Placement Exam (PSAT 8/9). Students will be directed to their assigned testing room upon arrival.

Be sure to finish your LTHS enrollment before the test.  If needed, we will also have staff on hand to help you with enrollment during the placement test at Central.  Bring your enrollment documents with you.

  • Frequently Asked Questions

It takes almost a year to get 1,000 students enrolled, tested, registered for the appropriate classes and scheduled accordingly. We are not a unit district - your student does not exist in our system until you put them there (by completing the enrollment form).

The proofs of residency must be in the name of the parent/legal guardian, regardless of who owns the home. Parents need a valid state ID or DL in the current address. The other 2 proofs can be renters or homeowners’ insurance, car registration or insurance, cell phone bill, pay stubs, bank statements, etc. We do not generally use affidavits of residency like some of the feeder schools do. Parents need to upload proofs that are in their name.

Keep looking. Parents are required by state law to present a certified copy of their child’s birth certificate. We do not accept the souvenir certificates from the hospital-it must be the legal, county issued, certified birth certificate. If you cannot locate yours, please order a new one. We cannot process any enrollments without it.

We have an option called 08HS Placement Test. Choose that; if you choose 9th grade, it will assume you’re enrolling a current 9th grade student and ask for high school transfer papers.

Please enroll your student now if there is any possibility they will attend Lockport. There’s no registration fee due at this time, and it is far better for your child, that we are prepared for them.
