    Course Description: American Government is an introductory course in the history of the Constitution and how it works to make our government one of the most successful in the world. Students learn how the three branches of government “check and balance” each other, the rights guaranteed by the bill of rights and the Amendments, as well as their roles as citizens of the United States of America. Historical events are presented in 21st century perspective through role-playing and the study of current events.
