JAPANESE LANGUAGE AND CULTURE 1 - WL1931 (9th Grade only use WL2931)

Course description: Level one is an introductory course, which provides students the opportunities to develop proficiency in the areas of speaking, listening, writing, and reading Japanese. Students will engage in a variety of activities focusing on basic conversational skills, simple sentence structures, short readings in Japanese, and vocabulary. In addition, students will observe and discuss Japanese culture and society. The basic textbook and workbook are supplemented with the use of visual, auditory, and media sources.
