    Course Description: Adventures in Global History examines both the diversity and similarity among the world’s people and cultures with an emphasis on the major civilizations of the past as well as nations and issues in the world today. A thematic perspective will be provided to illustrate major world events and movements, and students will develop a knowledge of and appreciation for the contributions of the many cultures in our global society. In addition, the course will emphasize skill development, including reading, writing, communication, technology, and research.
