    Description: The AP Physics C course ordinarily forms the first part of the college sequence that serves as the foundation in physics for students majoring in the physical sciences or engineering. The sequence in normally parallel to students taking the mathematics course: Calculus. Students who have not taken Calculus will have to learn some of the skills used in Calculus such as differentiation and integration on their own. Strong emphasis is placed on solving a variety of challenging problems, some requiring calculus. The subject matter of the course is primarily mechanics, electricity, and magnetism. The primary emphasis of the course will be to prepare students for the Advanced Placement (AP) exam.
