Curriculum Night
Dear Parents/Guardian: August 2007
Lockport Township High School is proud to announce a “Curriculum Expectation” evening. Our goal is to improve communication between home and school. Curriculum Night will give you the opportunity to meet your child’s teachers. The teachers will speak to you about the class curriculum, goals, and expectations. You will be able to hear from the teachers the following:
What your child will learn in class
How learning will be assessed or measured
What to do if your child needs instructional help
Please make a special effort to join us in visiting your high school at East Campus, on Thursday, September 6, 2007. The doors will be open at 6:30 p.m. The schedule for the evening will be as follows:
| 1st Period | 7:00 – 7:10 p.m. |
| 2nd Period | 7:15 – 7:25 p.m. |
| 3rd Period | 7:30 – 7:40 p.m. |
| 4th Period | 7:45 – 7:55 p.m. |
| 5th Period | 8:00 – 8:10 p.m. |
| 6th Period | 8:15 – 8:25 p.m. |
| 7th Period | 8:30 – 8:40 p.m. |
| 8th Period | 8:45 – 8:55 p.m. |
You and your child should attend. Your child will assist you in finding the location of th classrooms. Please have your child bring their schedule with them on this evening. Thank you for your support!
Additional Information:
Guidance Services: A brief overview of guidance services will be presented in the lunch room during the scheduled lunch-study hall periods. Counselors will also be available in the Guidance Office and the College and Career Center for interested parents.
Please note the change in the school calendar regarding semester exams. Semester exams will take place prior to Winter Break. The 2007-2008 school calendar is available online at www.lths.org. Additional information for semester exams will be available at a later date.

Through ParentConnect you can easily communicate with teachers through email, or receive automatic email notification of unexcused absences, failing grades, or discipline incidents.
