THE REFERENDUM
What we need to do to solve the problem.
The new campus will cost $141,740,000 to build.
It will include 111 classrooms (79 for core academic classes and 32 for electives and P.E.) and 1,000 parking spots. There will be one stadium and 10 athletic fields for football, softball, baseball, and soccer. There also will be track and field facilities and 12 tennis courts. All of these facilities will enable the new Cedar Road campus to be equitable with those included at East Campus.
The cost per household
Average annual tax increase per $300,000 home is $21 over the life of the bonds. (View a tax rate graph)THE cost of not building
What will it cost the taxpayer if the referendum is not passed?
This is a legitimate question because there will be costs involved in NOT passing the referendum.- Every year we wait, the cost of building increases. For instance, the cost to build today has risen $25,000,000 since the earlier 2006 referendum was proposed. This is even AFTER the district has cut back on the size and scope of the campus.

- LTHS will have to continually lease temporary classrooms. Temporary Classrooms.
- Decreased opportunities for students. Impact on Students.
