Abby Foundation Academic Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for students attending a 4-year college or $500 scholarship for students attending a 2-year community college
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a female high school senior
- Have a minimum 3.0 GPA or higher
- Submit a 250 word essay; “Why this scholarship is important to me and what are my career goals?”
- Submit an official high school transcript

Abby Foundation Athlete of the Year Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship for students attending a 4-year college or $500 scholarship for students attending a 2-year community college
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a female high school senior

- Submit a 250 word essay; “Why do I play sports?”
- Submit an official high school transcript
- Applicant should be planning to participate in collegiate athletics

American Italian Cultural Society: $1,500 scholarship over a four year period for a total of $6,000
Criteria for applicant:
- Two letters of recommendation from teachers
- A personal letter stating future educational plans, career goals, and financial need
- Submit an official transcript and ACT or SAT scores
- Student resume of activities and volunteer service

Amvets Scholarship: Offering multiple scholarships including service foundation, ROTC, nursing and trade school.
Criteria for applicant:

Canals & Trails Credit Union Scholarship: One $1,000.00 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a high school senior at one of the following schools:
- Bolingbrook High School
- Lemont High School
- Lockport East High School
- Romeoville High School
- Maintain a G.P.A. average of a “B”
- Attend a 2-year or 4-year College, University or Trade School
- Write a two page, double-spaced essay regarding the advantages of Credit Union membership versus a bank and how they can better utilize their Credit Union now as they plan to enter college
- The student or parent must be a member of Canals & Trails Credit Union

DLA Architects, Ltd. THINK (about architecture) Scholarship: $250 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Scholarship is open to all graduating seniors that will attend college or university in the fall.
- Your challenge is to show us in a +/- 2 minute video how your school space affected your ability to learn. Is there anything that makes the place special? What does the space make possible? How has it affected your ability to learn? Tell us your story and be creative! Submissions must focus on/discuss any location on the campus.

Global Citizen Award Application:
Criteria for applicant:
- Must have successfully completed four years of high school level foreign language, (ASL, ESL, French, German, Japanese or Spanish) This could include either four years of one language with one year of a different language or five years of the same language. ESL students only need four years of high school foreign language, ESL included.
- Must have maintained a Foreign Language GPA of 3.5 and an overall GPA of 3.0
- Must be an active member of one of the following Foreign Language/Global Citizen-based clubs for one full year (International Club, Interact Club, Language Honor Society, or Sign Language Club).
Applications are to be turned in to your Foreign Language teacher.

Holly Club: Barbara J. Rakoski Volunteerism College Scholarship $500 award
Criteria:
- A senior boy or girl who will be attending any 4 year college
- A student resume, be sure to include all volunteer activities
- A one page, 250 word typed essay describing how your volunteer service has impacted your life a well as benefited those directly related to your volunteer service
- Two letters of recommendation, one from a teacher, employer, etc. and one from a supervisor of your volunteer activities

Homer Glen Junior Woman's Club Scholarship: $500 scholarship
Criteria:
- Applicants must be a legal resident of Homer Glen or Homer Township as of the date of this application and be graduating high school senior between the ages of 16-22
- Applicant must graduate from high school by June 30, 2013 and must be enrolled for the 2013-2014 term in an accredited two year or four year College or University

Homer Township Chamber of Commerce Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Any graduating high school student who resides in Homer Township or whose parent or guardian is a Homer Township Chamber member
- Submit a 500 word double spaced typed essay on “How to use social media to market a business”. Interview at least one local business owner to help formulate your response.

JJC Foundation - Dr. John & Melanie Peterson Academic Scholarship: This scholarship is for a female Lockport High School athlete, who participates in athletics at Joliet Junior College. The scholarship is for two consecutive years (four semesters). The student must attend JJC immediately upon graduating from Lockport.
Criteria for applicant:
- Award amount is determined annually
- Award goes to a female Lockport High School athlete

Kevin Killmer Memorial Scholarship “Spirit Award”: $1,000 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must participate in two (2) or more sports for all four (4) years
- Be a participant or a spectator in other extra-curricular activities and sports
- Have a G.P.A. of 2.6 or higher
- Student must have demonstrated proper Leadership and Citizenship qualities both at LTHS and in the community

Lions International District 1B Scholarship – Teachers of Special Education: $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Attach a short statement giving your reasons for selecting a career in teaching of the handicapped
- Enclose letters of recommendation from two (2) teachers
- Enclose a transcript of your “High School” credits
- Have application approved by your local Lions Club
- It is EXPECTED that each scholarship recipient will, upon completing school, teacher for at least one (1) full school term in this special field

Lockport Football Boosters “Extra Effort” Scholarship: $500.00
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be graduating LTHS senior and a member of the LTHS football team for all 4 years
- Must have a minimum G.P.A. of 2.5 (transcript required)
- Must attend a 2 year or 4 year college or university after high school
- Must submit 1 letter of recommendation (either personal or academic)
- Must submit a 500 word essay describing what playing football for LTHS has meant to them and what life lessons it has taught them (essay can either be handwritten or typed)

Lockport Rotary Club College Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Submit an essay explaining the circumstances for any special financial need
- Submit two letters of recommendation from adults

- Submit an essay that answers the question; “How will furthering your education assist you in serving others in the future?”
- Provide resume information, which includes school experience, out of school activities, recognitions and awards

Lockport Township Government Scholarship: Up to four $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to students with a 2.5 G.P.A. or higher who are currently seniors and residents of Lockport Township.
Criteria for applicant:
- A resume describing your work experience (jobs, with or without pay), school experience (clubs, programs, athletics, etc.), out of school activities (church, lessons, etc.), recognition and awards (national, state, local and school), hobbies and special interests
- Written essay, one page, typed that answers the question “What does a college education mean to me?”
- Include two (2) letters of recommendation from two different people. For example: submit a letter from a teacher, counselor, principal, employer, and community leader or clergy member.
- Submit a copy of current transcript from Lockport Township High School.
Finalists may be requested to appear for a personal interview with the scholarship committee before final selection of scholarship awards.
The winners will be asked to attend a Lockport Township Government Meeting and have their picture taken for the township newsletter.

Lockport Township High School Foundation Connor Sullivan Memorial Scholarship: $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a graduating senior of LTHS who is interested in pursuing a career in education
- G.P.A. of 2.0 or higher
- Should be a participant in co-curricular and/or community activities
- Enrolled at an accredited college or university
- Submit a short, three-to-five page, essay describing your interest in the field of education or expressing that teachers are role models and explaining who is their role model and why. Must be typewritten.
Must be received in the LTHS Foundation Office, 1323 E. Seventh Street in Lockport by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Lockport Township High School Foundation Diane Meader Schenk Commemorative Scholarship: $2,000 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a graduating LTHS high school senior
- Must be an active member of the LTHS Marching Band and obtain the written endorsement of the Marching Band Director
- Submit an essay, 250 words or less; “Why music is important to me and what are my goals in furthering interest in the LTHS Marching Band to those who are about to enter High School next year.”
Must be received in the LTHS Foundation Office, 1323 E. Seventh Street in Lockport by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Lockport Township High School Foundation Dick Dystrup “Be Positive” Boys’ Golf Scholarship: $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a graduating senior of LTHS senior member of the LTHS Boys Golf Team who will be going on to college to play golf
- G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher
- Member of the LTHS boys Golf Team for three to four years
- Is a positive role model and demonstrates leadership
Must be received in the LTHS Foundation Office, 1323 E. Seventh Street in Lockport by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
Lockport Township High School Foundation Endwood Scholarship: One $1,000 scholarship and one $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Preference given to students pursuing studies in Engineering, Physical Science, or Mathematics
- Demonstrate a need for financial assistance
- Have a minimum weighted G.P.A. of 3.0
- Demonstrate positive leadership qualities both in and out of the classroom
- Preference will be given to a student with an immediate family member who, as a member of the United States military, is or has been deployed to a combat zone since 1990.

Lockport Township High School Foundation Francis H. Gerrity Scholarship: $1,000 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Must be a graduating LTHS senior
- Must be a graduate of Lockport School District 91 (Milne Grove/Kelvin Grove)
- Must be pursuing an education major in college/university
- Must submit a letter of recommendation from an individual outside of Lockport Township High School District 205
- Must submit an essay of not more than 500 words on how a particular teacher influenced his/her decision to become an educator

Lockport Township High School Foundation: Fred R. Linder Law Enforcement College Scholarship: $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- Submit a resume with the following information: work experience (jobs with or without pay), school experiences (athletics, clubs, etc.), out-of-school activities (church, scouts, etc.), awards, hobbies and special interests
- Submit two letters of recommendation by two different people, such as a teacher, counselor, employer, clergy member, etc…
- Submit a short essay (250-300 words) describing yourself and why you have chosen a career in law enforcement.
- High School Transcript. These transcripts should be from your last seven semesters. When submitting these transcripts, please keep them in the sealed school envelope.

Criteria for applicant:
- Rank in the upper 25 percent of Lockport Township High School’s Class of 2013
- Attendance at a two-year or four-year college/university or a trade or technical school
- Two letters of recommendation, one from a faculty member and one from a community leader
- A short essay (250 words) describing yourself, your goals for the future, and how you arrived at this point in your life
- A current copy of your family’s complete federal income tax return (i.e., Form 1040, Form 1040A, or Form 1040 EZ) Failure to submit all income tax returns from both parents/guardians is cause for disqualification unless disclosed by applicant with an appropriate explanation.

Lockport Township High School Foundation Karen Bell Doehring Scholarship: $250 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
- GPA of 3.0 or above in Family and Consumer Science courses, and a GPA of 2.5 or above academic average while in high school
- Submit a 250 word essay describing yourself, your goals for the future, and how you arrived at this point in your life
- Submit two letters of recommendation
- Applicant must have completed two or more courses in Family and Consumer Sciences at the high school level
- Applicant must be planning to enroll in an institution of learning for the purpose of pursuing higher education in a Family and Consumer Science
- LTHS graduating senior
- Has shown strength and determination to overcome a tragic event, personal challenge or hardship
- Has participated in high school clubs and/or sports programs
- Demonstate good decision making skills
- Be in good academic standing with a 3.0 min. GPA
- Major in a scientific teaching, nursing, or engineering field
- 23 minimum on the ACT or equivalent SAT Verbal and Math
- An overall cumulative GPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale
- Proof of commitment to a group activity through athletics/clubs
- One paragraph pertaining to college aspirations/major
- Submit a 500 word essay, typed and double spaced, answering the following question: “What are your education goals, and how would this scholarship assist you in achieving these goals?”
- Submit two letters of recommendation, and one should be from a LTHS faculty member
- Submit a resume with the criteria on the application
- Good academic standing with a G.P.A. of 2.75 or higher
- Demonstration of positive role modeling in all areas of the applicant’s life
- Demonstration of servant leadership

- Submit a 250 word essay describing yourself, your goals for the future, and how you arrived at this point in your life. Submit this essay in your own handwriting.
- Demonstrate the need for financial aid
- The nominating letter must include the complete name, address, and phone of the nominee and nominator

- The nominating letter must also include additional home, church, and community involvement
- Include a maximum of two pages describing acts of service performed by the nominee to improve or enhance the quality of life for a child or group f children either locally or in the community at large

Lockport Township High School Foundation Mildred K. Shoop Scholarship: $500 scholarship
Criteria for applicant:
Must be received in the LTHS Foundation Office, 1323 E. Seventh Street in Lockport by 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 5, 2013.
